  Rejection treatments

Visit Distillerie de Savanna

Regarding rejection treatments, many efforts have been made. Using the huge geo-purifier power of its underground, the distillery is endowing a deep drilling (les than 127 metres) diffusing affluents. This drilling has been digged after the recommendations of studies directed by the BRGM, the DDE, the ARVAM, (local institutions), the University of Reunion Island, the DRIRE and the SIF BACHY (national institutions)..

The impact studies realised in 1999 on the submarine realm, final recipient of rejections, show that the submarine biomass – first step of the food chain - is getting richer. This system has also the adavantage to protect the coast where the biological productivity is very developed.
